Featured Products:

Optir™ utilizes the benefits of moldable infrared chalcogenide glasses and the expertise of Rochester Precision Optics molding technology. Due to the rapid growth of the infrared industry, and because of the near universal use of germanium in IR optical systems, the utilization of germanium has greatly increased.
The RPO Legacy

In 2005, Rochester Precision Optics was formed after acquiring the assets and intellectual property of Kodak Optical Imaging Systems. This business was originally known as Kodak Hawk-Eye Works. It was established in 1912 for the design of optics after which Hawkeye designed and produced the optics used in the Kodak cameras and defense equipment became one of the world’s largest optics plants in the world.
